 Inexpensive astronomy
Welcome to my astronomy page. I called it 'Inexpensive Astronomy', because I believe that astronomy doesn' t need to be expensive to be fully enjoyed. Looking at the clear night sky is entirely for free. Yet it is one of the most impressive sights life has to offer. A telescope is not required to enjoy it. On many occasions when I am out with my equipment, I find myself gazing at the stars leaving the telescope untouched for minutes.

So why didn't I call this site 'Free Astronomy' and stop writing right here? Well there is one other reason for naming it 'Inexpensive Astronomy' instead. When the time comes that you want to dig deeper, like happened to me after 26 ( ! ) years of casual stargazing, you may want to buy some equipment which shows you more than what the unaided eye can see. There are many ways of doing this. I opted for the inexpensive way. You want to know how? See my 'getting started in astronomy' page.
